The accident happened around 5:00 a.m. between Route 413 and Street Road.
Police tell Action News that the truck crossed over from the northbound lanes to the southbound lanes when it landed on its side. The driver was not injured and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Crews are on the scene working to transfer the tractor-trailer's load of watermelons to another truck before up righting the overturned rig.
Delays are expected because only the right lane is getting by the accident scene.
Officials tell Action News that they plan to close the southbound lanes near the accident scene entirely at 9:30 a.m. so that they can remove the truck.
Motorists should use southbound Route 1 as an alternate road.
