The fire broke around 3:30 a.m. out inside the Erawan Restaurant, located on the 100 block of South 23rd Street.
Officials evacuated the apartments above the restaurant.
The injured man was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
There is no word on what may have sparked the fire.
