I-95 SB in Newark, Del. reopened after fatal crash

I-95 southbound in Newark, Delaware has reopened after an early morning truck crash that left one person dead.

The accident happened just before 4:00 a.m. Thursday in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Route 896.

Investigators say the driver of a box truck carrying linens collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the box truck was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no word at this time on what led to the accident.

I-95 southbound was closed at Route 896 for nearly eight hours, finally re-opening at 11:45 a.m.
