Police say Justin Earl, 26, of Wilmington was hit at 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Woodlawn Avenues.
The striking vehicle was travelling west on Pennsylvania Avenue at the time of accident.
The driver was not injured and remained at the scene.
Police say first responders administered first aid to Earl until paramedics arrived.
He was rushed to Christiana Hospital where he died from his injuries.
There is no word if charges will be filed.
