The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of the Expressway in Winslow Township.
Police say the driver of a car rear ended a tanker truck. The collision caused the car to catch fire, trapping the driver.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no word on the victim's identity at this time.
