Elderly man pistol whipped in SW Phila. speakeasy robbery
SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - August 23, 2012
The suspects stormed a home in the 5900 block of Springfield Avenue.
Police say, a 74-year-old man was robbed and pistol whipped.
The victim sustained a head injury and is in stable condition
Officials say, a speak easy was being run inside the home, a place where alcohol is sold illegally.
The robbers fled with $2,000.
