Police: Man, sleeping on tracks, killed by train in Delaware County

WOODLYN, Pa. - August 29, 2012

The accident happened around 11:20 p.m. on the CXS freight train tracks near Fairview Road and Sherman Street in Woodlyn, Pa.

Police say the man, in his 20s, was asleep on the track with his girlfriend. She woke up and tried to move the man when she saw the train coming.

However, she wasn't able to get the man off the tracks and he was struck and killed.

The girlfriend received serious injuries to her arm.

Investigators believe the two had been drinking before falling asleep.
