Police find woman abducted in Overbrook home invasion

OVERBROOK - August 29, 2012

Police say three masked men barged into a home on the 900 block of North 66th Street and took a 24-year-old woman hostage.

Detectives say the three armed men in ski masks came through the front window around 5:00 a.m. looking for a man who goes by the name "Bam" and demanded $100,000.

Police say the man that lives at the house is a known drug dealer, but he wasn't home.

They say when the suspects did not get the answers they were looking for the men allegedly abducted the man's sister, who has been identified as Carmen Brady.

Police tell Action News that Carmen was found unharmed late Wednesday afternoon in the 5800 block of Theodore Street Wednesday afternoon, and all three men have been apprehended.

Loved ones gathered outside of the home looking to each other for support, and held an early morning prayer vigil for her safe return.

Carmen's Aunt Linda told Action News, "She has a family who loves her. And we just want her home safe in peace. Please, just let me niece home."

Police say Bam was located Wednesday morning and taken to Southwest Detectives Division for interviews.

The incident remains under investigation.
