Reward program targets PCP drug 'wet' in NJ

CAMDEN, N.J. - September 5, 2012

The Citizens Crime Commission, joined by the Camden Police Department and the Camden Prosecutor's Office, is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of anyone selling 'wet.'

The reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of anyone with an illegal firearm.

The program follows two highly publicized child murders in Camden in the last month. In both cases the attackers were high on 'wet.'

Last month, police say a Camden mother decapitated her toddler then killed herself while high on the drug.

And on Sunday in Camden, 31-year-old Osvaldo Rivera allegedly broke into a neighbor's home after smoking the drug. Police say he raped a 12-year-old girl, slashed her throat, and killed her 6-year-old brother as the boy tried to save his sister.
