The Daily Local News of West Chester says 29-year-old Anthony Bowman of Coatesville was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison after entering the plea Friday in Chester County Court.
Prosecutors said they offered the plea after careful examination of the evidence and discussions with the family of 46-year-old Vincent Love, who was killed outside the Hi-Way Cruisers Motorcycle Club in Coatesville in February 2011.
Defense attorney Chris Hoey called the resolution positive for all sides but said it reflected "significant weakness" in the first-degree murder case the government pursued. He said Bowman was "out with the wrong group of fellas" on the night of the slaying.
