Authorities say a manhunt is under way after an officer was hurt while pursuing a suspect near a bike path in a Philadelphia suburb.
The incident was reported just before 6:00 p.m. on Conshohocken Road and Ernest Station Road in Plymouth Township, Montgomery County.
Police have closed off roads in the area as they search for the suspect and commuter trains have been stopped in the area.
There was a vehicle accident at the scene.
Initially, there were conflicting reports of whether the officer had been shot or injured in the crash.
Police confirm to Action News the officer was shot.
The officer was taken to Montgomery Hospital.
