Police say 47-year-old Jean Kleckner was a former teacher in Muhlenberg School District and became a field hockey coach this year.
According to detectives, Kleckner gave alcohol to a young girl then had inappropriate sexual contact for part of 2008 through 2009.
The Muhlenberg school superintendent says Kleckner has been suspended.
Another teacher from Berks County is also facing charges for allegedly having sex with a student.
31-year-old English teacher Kristy Risell surrendered to authorities Thursday, accused of having an inappropriate relationship with the 15-year-old male student at Daniel Boone Area High School between January and April 2012.
Risell, a teacher with Daniel Boone since 2004, voluntarily resigned from her teaching position at Daniel Boone on Thursday, said district officials, who added that she has been on leave from her job since April.
