Police: Woman attempts to rob bank in Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. - September 14, 2012

It happened shortly after noon Friday at the Bank of America branch on the 400 block of Market Street.

Authorities say a woman walked into the bank and presented the teller a note demanding money.

The teller read the note and handed it back to the suspect without giving her anything. The woman then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set African-American woman, about 5'4" tall. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt, hooded sweatshirt, and a red scarf on her head.
