Police: Chesco man recorded co-workers undressing

WEST GOSHEN TWP., Pa. - September 18, 2012

Joseph Kolimaga, 27, of Coatesville, Pa. is charged with multiple counts of invasion of privacy and 1 count of attempted invasion of privacy.

West Goshen Township Police say it's a case of voyeurism that's been going on for years inside Oral Surgery Associates of Chester County in West Chester, Pa.

And it's a case the people responsible for running the office just didn't want to talk about when we went looking for answers.

Chester County District Attorney Thomas Hogan says Kolimaga was arrested Tuesday.

"This is a pretty shocking abuse of trust," said Hogan. "You expect your co-workers to support you, not spy on you."

Investigators say an employee found Kolimaga's smartphone in the record mode in the women's changing area last month and alerted the boss, Dr. Frederick Disque, to the incident.

West Goshen Township police say during the investigation they uncovered a VHS tape Kolimaga made about 7 years ago.

It showed at least six female office workers from the same practice undressing and partially nude.

"This is a pretty good example of how modern technology and a little bit of technology in the wrong hands can do an enormous amount of damage," said Hogan.

We knocked on the door of the practice where we learned through its website that Kolimaga's mother is the office manager. But we didn't get a response.

We also called for a comment, but the person who answered hung up.

Shocked patients like one woman we saw outside the office wanted to comment, but office managers pulled her back in and told her not to talk.

In an affidavit, Kolimaga reportedly stated he made those recordings when he was "young and dumb."

He was out on bail Tuesday night.
