The shooting happened at 8:47 p.m. in the unit block of Moffat Ave. in Hamilton Township.
Police say the victim, a 43-year-old man, was shot multiple times in the leg.
He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton in stable condition.
That man's name has not been released.
Police say they are looking for a black male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a face mask in connection with the shooting.
