It happened around 3:30 Sunday morning at the intersection of Haverford Avenue and North 63rd Street.
The vehicle struck a pole that supports SEPTA trolley wires.
Two women and four children were inside the car at the time. According to police, none of the children were restrained or in a child seat.
The children range in age from 8 months to 11-years-old, and all were taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Both women were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. No word on the conditions of any of the victims but their injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
So far no word what caused the driver to lose control.
