2 killed in Broad Street crash ID'd

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - September 23, 2012

The driver was identified as 40-year-old Antrone Prudie from the 4100 block of Robbins Avenue.

The passenger was identified as 44-year-old Raymond Liggone of the 6200 block of Torresdale Ave.

Philadelphia police and medics were called around 8:45 p.m. Sunday to the scene at the intersection of Broad Street and Allegheny Avenue.

Police say the car Prudie was driving was traveling on Allegheny and going through a green light when it was struck by an SUV that ran a red light.

Prudie's car then struck a light pole.

Prudie was pronounced dead at the scene. Liggone was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and suffered minor injuries.

There is no word yet on if that person will be charged.
