Man gets 1 to 5 years in Pa. crash that killed 5

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - October 10, 2012

The (Lancaster) Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era (http://bit.ly/SR1Py5 ) says 66-year-old Alfred Moore of Harrisburg was sentenced Wednesday in Lancaster County Court.

He pleaded guilty last summer to homicide by vehicle and reckless endangerment in the June 2010 crash on Route 72 in Penn Township.

Authorities said Moore, who has diabetes, had severely low blood sugar and was driving erratically before the accident.

Killed were 48-year-old Samuel and Linda Lapp, 43-year-old Dennis Wilhelm and his 50-year-old wife Amy, and 27-year-old Joshua Pennington.

Moore asked for forgiveness from the victims, saying he thinks about the tragedy daily. He said "I'm hurt, I'm so beat up inside."
