Police in Delaware County say tip calls from Action News viewers have led them to a copper thief.

The man was caught on surveillance video last week stealing copper downspouts from Trinity Lutheran Church on West Chester Pike in Havertown.

Havertown Police received two tip calls from people who saw the surveillance video when it aired on Action News last week.

The tips led investigators to 34-year-old Steven Molitor of Long Lane in Upper Darby.

Police say Molitor confessed during questioning. They say he also admitted stealing copper from three other area churches.

Molitor was charged with vandalism, theft and other offenses.

He was ordered held on $25,000 bail.
