Prisoners in one flood prone correctional facility in New Jersey are being relocated Friday night in anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Sandy.

Chopper 6 was over Southern State Correctional Facility located along North Delsea Drive in Delmont, New Jersey as officials prepared to move prisoners located in trailers to another facility out of the flood zone.

Prison officials say most of the prisoners are housed in buildings believed to be structurally capable of withstanding the impending storm and will not be relocated.

Officials did not release the number of inmates involved in the transfer or where they will be located for security reasons.
