State troopers say 21-year-old Juan Bonilla died early Saturday morning at the Veterans Political Association in York. No cause of death was specified.
Authorities say officers from York and neighboring West Manchester Township had received a report of gunshots inside the club.
When they arrived, club patrons had spilled into the parking lot and gunfire continued. Police say officers were shot at and returned fire.
District Attorney Tom Kearney tells the York Daily Record/Sunday News that many witnesses and police are being questioned.
State troopers are handling the investigation, which will include an autopsy on the victim. No arrests have been made.
