Toys for Tots wonderland in need of donations

MT. LAUREL, N.J. - December 9, 2012

Toys for Tots families who registered online are stopping by the retired marine's home to shop and bag the perfect holiday presents for their children that they otherwise would not receive.

"They think we're not having Christmas, so this is going to be a surprise for them," Eloisa Duncan of Mt. Holly said.

Nicole Nichols of Southampton used to donate to the organization, but now in tough times, she and her family will benefit from the cause when all 7 of her children have gifts to open on Christmas morning.

"It's the greatest moment in the world," Nichols said.

It's the smiles and the happy tears that have kept Wilson transforming his home into a Toys for Tots wonderland for the last 20 years.

"We had one persons in here, he had 9 children. He got all of his toys and when my granddaughter walked him out to his car, he bust out crying; he gave her a big hug," Wilsons aid.

But Wilson says this year donations are down.

"I'm 1,500 toys behind what I had last year," Wilson said.

And with 12,000 children in need, he could use your help.

Bill Wilson will be accepting donations through December 20th.

You can drop it off at any Toys for Tots location in Burlington County and the gift will make its way to a child in need this season.
