Authorities say a pedestrian was struck by a train on SEPTA's Broad Street Line in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 9:00 Friday morning between Allegheny and Erie stations.

Medics transported a 25-year-old victim to Temple University Hospital. No word on his condition.

The accident briefly shut down the Broad Street Line in the area but service has since been restored.

SEPTA officials say passengers may experience residual delays as service returns to normal.

The incident remains under investigation.
