A driver was arrested for a crash that left one man killed and four others injured in New Castle County, Delaware.

It happened around 8:00 Friday night along Wilton Boulevard near Candlewick Court.

Authorities say the collision involved two vehicles - a Mazda M6 and a Volkswagen Jetta.

61-year-old Thomas Moore, a rear passenger in the Mazda, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and two other passengers in the Mazda were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the Jetta - identified as 31-year-old Jesus Juarez-Perez - was also treated and released from the hospital.

Police say an investigation revealed that the driver of the Mazda was travelling south when Perez crossed the double yellow line, striking the vehicle head-on.

Investigators say alcohol and weather are possible contributors to the crash.

Perez was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide in the second degree and other charges related to the accident.
