NJ mayor becomes Super Bowl champion

EVESHAM, N.J. - February 8, 2013

Mayor Randy Brown has been the Raven's kicking consultant since 2008 and was there in New Orleans to celebrate their big win.

"It's 100 times better than anything you dream about," said Brown.

Brown has been coaching football for 21 years. He got his start at Cherokee High School and worked his way into the NFL.

He worked part-time with the Eagles in 2004 and 2005 under then Special Teams Coach Jim Harbaugh.

Brown worked closely with David Akers but had to go up against him in the Super Bowl.

"The whole thing was surreal. For the four hours, it is a war out there and you both want to win," said Brown.

Brown fulfilled his life-long dream of winning the Super Bowl but hopes to live to fulfill another big event down the road: winning the race for governor of New Jersey.

"If one day the people of New Jersey believe that I'm the best person to be the leader of New Jersey, I'd be just as humbled," said Brown.

Winning the governor's race would be the kicker in the kicking coach's unusual career.
