Officers were dispatched shortly after 8:30 a.m. to the 200 block of Delamore Place.
There they located a male victim on the sidewalk suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.
The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.
There is no word on suspects or a motive at this time.
