Police are investigating an overnight crash in Northeast Philadelphia that left a 28-year-old man trapped for over 30 minutes.

The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Woodhaven Road just west of Knights Road.

Police say the car slammed into a utility pole trapping the driver inside.

Firefighters worked for over a half hour to free the victim who was then transported to Aria Health Torresdale for treatment.
