Police: Pennsylvania man tried to sell 5 stolen pythons

HAMBURG, Pa. (AP) - June 11,2013

Police say Bellefonte resident Nathan Flick was arrested at a weekend reptile expo in Hamburg, trying to sell the stolen snakes for $7,100. Officer Robert Mengle says the pythons were among 13 stolen last month from the Centre County home of Christopher Robinson, a licensed reptile dealer.

The Reading Eagle reports officials at the Northwestern Berks Reptile Show determined the snakes were among those reported stolen and called police. Robinson drove 2 ½ hours to Hamburg to get the snakes. Police are still investigating the burglary.

Flick is charged with receiving stolen property. A telephone listing for him could not immediately be located.
