The Delaware County Daily Times reports 23-year-old Gaurave Kumar was arraigned Monday on rape and related charges in the June 11 incident. Upper Darby police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says the victim recently found the video on her phone and reported the incident.
Chitwood says Kumar sexually assaulted the woman as she slept. The victim says she remembers eating dinner and going to bed after starting to feel sick; she says she didn't know anything about the alleged assault until she found the video.
Kumar did not have a listed telephone number and it could not immediately be determined if he had an attorney.
