Woman, 82, targeted by pickpockets in Chestnut Hill

CHESTNUT HILL - June 24, 2013

The incident happened at 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19th at the Weavers Way Co-Op at 8424 Germantown Avenue.

Police say two men entered the store and appear to target the woman.

One of the suspects bumps into her, and uses a blue and white garment bag to conceal the theft.

When the woman went to pay for her purchase, police say she noticed her black deposit bag was missing, which had cash, checks and credit card slips inside.

The suspects left through the rear door and fled in an unknown direction.

The suspects are described by police as:

Suspect #1: Black male, 30-40 years old, stocky build, medium complexion, wearing a blue baseball cap, blue/purple t-shirt, dark colored shorts, and black sneakers.

Suspect #2: Black male, 30-40 years old, medium build, dark complexion, wearing a red t-shirt with a white eagle emblem on the left side and white sneakers.
