The incident occurred at 9:44 a.m. on June 22nd at the K-Mart store on 3300 block of Aramingo Avenue.
Police say the suspect entered the store and forced open a jewelry display case.
After taking jewelry from the case, he then fled the store on foot.
Police describe the suspect as black male, 20 years-of-age, wearing a green shirt with a design on the front and tan pants.
