Philadelphia Police and the FBI say 27-year-old Carl Goodwin held up the Wells Fargo on the 800 block of East Allegheny Avenue at 3:53 p.m. Monday.
Authorities released surveillance photos from the teller's window.
A demand note was used, but no weapon was shown.
The FBI said Goodwin is believed to have committed at least four other bank robberies in the city in the past three weeks:
-7/2/2013, Citizens Bank at 6324 Stenton Avenue
-6/24/2013, Beneficial Bank at 5301 Chew Avenue
-6/21/2013, Bank of America at3745 Aramingo Avenue
-6/20/2013, Citizens Bank at 6324 Stenton Avenue
In addition, he is wanted by the Philadelphia Police Department for the June 17th armed robbery of a Dunkin Donuts at 3705 Germantown Avenue.
Goodwin has been on the loose since escaping from a federal halfway house in June.
Carl Goodwin is described as a black male, age 27, 5'10" tall, 150 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.
