The home invasion happened around 4:30 a.m. on the 4600 block of Wayne Avenue in the city's Germantown section.
The victim told police that two masked men entered the house, hit him in the head with a shotgun and demanded he hand over money.
The suspects then fled the scene.
The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics.
