HOLMESBURG - July 16, 2013 --
A boarded up, vacant home will need a few more planks after a senior citizen drove through it Monday night. It happened at 8:20 p.m. in the 4100 block of Welsh Road in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia.
Police say the 79-year-old driver lost control of his car, hit a parked car and careened off into the vacant house.
Authorities say he was shaken up, but otherwise okay.
