$19,000 in TV gear stolen from Old City studio

PHILADELPHIA - July 31, 2013

The theft happened at 9:50 a.m. on July 22nd at the Philly Cam Television Recording Studio located at 669 Ranstead Street.

Surveillance video captured images of the man, who walked into the studio and stole four pieces of equipment including two Fuji camera lenses.

Police say he then placed the gear in a backpack and left the studio.

The suspect is described as a black male standing 5'11" to 6'1" tall with a thin build and a full beard with a patch of gray on the chin. He was wearing a light colored Muslim Kufi, glasses, a red or orange t-shirt with a dark colored Puma logo on the front, light colored khaki shorts, black and white sneakers and a red or orange backpack with white writing.
