It's a concept some people in Fairfield, Connecticut apparently didn't understand - and police had to go on Facebook to remind residents that missing a favorite TV show isn't a life-or-death issue.
Fairfield police say they got more than a few 911 calls about a cable TV outage that hit parts of the state last night.
Authorities didn't say how many calls they got - but it was enough for a Facebook reminder that a cable outage is "neither an emergency or a police related concern."
The post goes on to warn that misuse of the 911 system could get you arrested.
