5 workers charged in $40,000 gas scheme in Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, N.J. - August 21, 2013

Police say it involved three workers from Winner Ford at 250 Berlin Road and two workers from the Sunoco station at 200 Berlin Road.

According to investigators, Winner Ford used that Sunoco station to fuel vehicles.

However, police say, the Winner Ford workers conspired with the Sunoco workers bill for gasoline that was never actually sold.

The scheme went on for several years, police say, until it was uncovered by an audit.

The Winner Ford workers charged in this case are 24-year-old Michael Johnson of the 100 block of Schooley Street in Moorestown, 46-year-old Daniel Savin of the 100 block of Lynn Drive in Woodbury and 64-year-old Robert Rodgers of the 400 block of Velde Avenue in Pennsauken.

The Sunoco workers charged in the case are 55-year-old Sudagar Nokewal of the unit block of S. Oakland Avenue in Pennsauken and 47-year-old Dilbagh Singh also of the unit block of S. Oakland Avenue in Pennsauken.

All five were charged with conspiracy to commit theft.
