Caught on video: Victim fights shotgun-wielding robber

WEST OAK LANE - September 4, 2013

Police released surveillance video of the incident on Wednesday as the search continues for two suspects.

The robbery happened at 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, August 31st at the Golden Chinese Restaurant at 7228 Ogontz Avenue.

The video shows the two suspects approach the victim. One suspect points a shotgun at the victim while the other suspect goes through the victim's pockets.

One of the suspects even removes the victim's belt.

Then, the victim lunges at the man with the shotgun, and the two struggle for more than three minutes.

Eventually, the victim runs out of the store, but police say he was shot in the hip during the struggle.

The victim called police while the suspects fled on foot.

The two suspects are described by police as:

Suspect #1: Black male, late teens to early 20s, dark complexion, medium build, twisted braids in hair, goatee, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants

Suspect #2: Black male, slim build, short black hair, wearing dark colored pants and a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a logo on the front "Rise and Grind" and "Blood Money Entertainment" on the rear.
