Missing WWII-era plane found crashed in Pa.

NICHOLSON, Pa. (AP) - September 9, 2013 The Federal Aviation Administration said Monday that the Cessna T50 was destroyed by fire after it crashed "under unknown circumstances" about 10 miles north of Factoryville in Susquehanna County.

State police said the wreckage was found at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the pilot didn't file a flight plan, so flight details are unconfirmed. The National Transportation Safety Board said earlier that the twin-engine plane left Sandusky, Ohio, on Labor Day heading for Wilkes-Barre.

Coroner Anthony Conarton said he couldn't identify the victims due to the severity of their injuries and was awaiting dental and medical records.
