The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. on the 3000 block of North Stillman Street.
Police told Action News the fire started in the basement of a home and flames and heavy smoke quickly spread through the upper floors.
Firefighters placed the blaze under control within fifteen minutes.
No one was hurt in the fire but the Red Cross was called to the scene to help the six victims find shelter. The Fire Marshal is trying to determine what sparked the blaze.
