Flames and smoke damage house in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - October 4, 2013

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. on the 6600 block of Sylvester Street.

Officials say the fast-moving blaze spread throughout the house.

Crews were able to get the fire under control within a half hour.

They pulled a charred mattress out from inside the home.

Three adults and one child got out of the house safely and with no injuries.

Red Cross arrived to the scene to help the residents with shelter.

No word yet on what sparked the blaze.
