A Corvette hit a median and a traffic light around 2:00 a.m. on the Newtown bypass near Woodbourne Road.
The car than flipped over and caught on fire.
One person died at the scene and firefighters worked for forty-five minutes to free the second victim, police say.
The victim was taken to Saint Mary Medical Center for treatment.
The accident is under investigation.
