Driver killed by deer through windshield on Pennsylvania Turnpike identified

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. - October 12, 2013

The driver has been identified as 35-year-old Jack Kodesh of New York City.

The crash happened around 9:00 Saturday morning on the northbound Northeast Extension by mile marker 70 in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

Authorities say the deer went through the windshield and landed in the backseat.

Kodesh was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No one else was in the car at the time.

Police are still investigating.
