NJ Turnpike reopened following crash in Hamilton Twp.

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. - October 17, 2013

The accident happened at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes of the highway several miles north of Exit 7 at mile marker 57.7 in Hamilton Township.

State police tell Action News two women were trapped in a vehicle, and several people on the bus were complaining of back pain.

Images from Chopper 6 HD over the scene showed a gray dump truck, which appeared to have rear-ended the Megabus.

A blue passenger vehicle, which had sustained heavy damage, was located a short distance away.

Crews worked for several hours to clear the scene. The turnpike was finally reopened just after 2:00 p.m.
