Service restored on Amtrak, NJ Transit after fatal accident

Amtrak has restored service after a fatal accident caused the suspension of trains between New York and Philadelphia Monday afternoon.

Service was fully restored on the Northeast Corridor around 7:15 p.m. Monday.

New Jersey Transit also restored service with delays expected between Trenton and New York.

According to Amtrak, a person on the tracks was fatally struck by a train in Metropark, Woodbridge Township around 4:00 p.m.
