It happened around 5:45 p.m. Sunday on the 5700 block of Colgate Street.
Authorities were called for the report of an attempted robbery and shooting.
Arriving officers found a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound to the arm.
The victim was Albert Einstein Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have yet been made but police say they are looking for two suspects.
