It was 10:43 a.m. when officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 5400 block of Christian Street in the city's Cobb Creek section.
There they found the 37-year-old victim clinging to life after being shot several times.
He was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition and was pronounced dead a short time later.
So far, no arrests have been made.
