Nobody claims $16M Powerball jackpot

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - November 23, 2013

The drawing was Saturday, May 25, and the winning numbers were 02, 06, 19, 21, 27 and a Powerball of 25. The Florida Lottery says that whoever played those numbers at the Carrollwood Market had 180 days to claim the winnings but never showed up.

The ticket became worthless Friday.

Lottery officials say the money will be distributed throughout the states that participate in Powerball. Most of the money that comes back to Florida will be allocated to public education.

The unclaimed ticket was one of three winners that split a $50 million jackpot. The other two winning tickets were sold in Delaware and Louisiana.
