Workers tell Action News the main burst at about 2:00 a.m. Monday on Broom Street.
The break and subsequent repair work shut down Broom between West 25th Street and Concord Avenue for most of the day Monday.
There was no immediate word how many customers were affected, or when the road would reopen to traffic.
