Fire destroys vacant building in North Philadelphia

Officials say a fire destroyed a vacant building in North Philadelphia early Friday morning.

The blaze broke out just before 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of 10th and Cumberland Street.

Firefighters arrived to heavy flames on the second and third floors.

The fire started in one property and quickly spread to an adjacent building.

Crews worked their way through the buildings putting out several hot spots.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The Fire Marshal is working to determine the cause.
